Heat Assistance
Under certain circumstances we can help seniors with their heating bill. Limited financial assistance is available on a 1-time basis, to senior citizens who are unable to pay a utility bill which will affect their home heating. Funding for this program is limited, and submission of an application will not guarantee approval.

Eligibility Requirements
To enroll for Heating Assistance Services you must:
- Be 60 years of age or older
- Be a resident of Grand Traverse County
- Have a past due, shut off, or no fill notice must have been received
- Have income of 200% of poverty level or lower
- Have no available assets

- Please print and complete the Senior Heating Assistance Application Form (PDF).
- Forward it, along with the required attachments to:
